Bowser GMD SD40-2s

Recently at Calgary's SuperTrain 2015, Canada's largest model train show, Bowser Trains MFG was showing off their soon to be delivered variants of the GMD(Canadian) SD40-2 diesel.

Ten of the eleven current versions being produced. Next locomotive to be done is seen in the photo on the table

These models are to be highly detailed and individually according to the roadnumber family. They will also have(specific models only) classlights that can be individually controlled by the operator.

DCC/Sound units($300 MSRP) will be equipped with ESU LokSound decoders, while non sound($200 MSRP) will be DCC ready with an ESU 21-pin board. Many modellers have placed preorders in for the units, awaiting for their delivery. Delivery is expected to be around October 2015, a few months behind the initial May/June release. I myself has ordered one with sound in the CP 6040 style, which will be one of the 6038 and 6041 numbered models.

Also at the show, Bowser announced their plans for the next locomotive to be done… The GMD SD40-2F "Red Barn" cowl diesels, bought only by CP. They are expected to be released at the end of 2016. Looking forward to seeing what Bowser will put on the table for these!
